Ontario’s Premier Doug Ford, Minister of Health Christine Elliott, Solicitor General Sylvia Jones, and Associate Minister of Mental Health and Addictions Michael Tibollo visited Runnymede Health Centre in Toronto.
The Premier and Ministers discussed the action our government is taking to help first responders suffering from PTSD. The Ontario government is investing $1 million in the planning of Runnymede Healthcare Centre’s wellness and rehabilitation services project in Caledon. This will be the first facility of its kind, dedicated solely to the mental health and well-being of our incredible first responders.
Today’s roundtable included President and CEO of Runnymede Health Connie Dejak, Peel Regional Council Chair Nando Iannica, Toronto Police Chief James Ramer, Toronto Fire Chief Matthew Pegg, President of the Ontario Medical Association Dr. Adam Kassam, CEO of the Registered Nurses’ Association of Ontario (RNAO) Dr. Doris Grinspun, and others invested in the wellbeing of Ontario’s heroes.
