OHPSI, a 2010 high-performance sport system, since its creation has supported over 4500 Ontario athletes in coaching, mental health, training, camps, sport science, and sports medicine.
As the Olympic and Paralympic Games are yet to come in the next 5 years, the OHPSI intake will support 20 sport training programs and meet the needs for mental health support for Ontario athletes. The assistance of government funding for high-performance sports will allow provincial Ontario athletes to get any support they need; including wellness check and consultations.
CSIO, which is part of the Canadian Olympic and Paralympic Sport Institute Network, is committed to delivering sports science, medicine, services, coaching, and support to help Canadian athletes all over Canada. The Ministry of Tourism, Culture, and Sports is dedicated to deliver experiences and championships in sport and activities across Ontario. With the help of the Canadian Government, high-performance sport athletes will now be able to get the assistance they need as well as better support so they can continue to bring more championships back to Ontario.
